i agree, but at some point, when you move from small startup, to big startup, the growth get "slower", and the operational load gets bigger.

In addition, there are teams that own products that can't grow revenue directly on their own - for example, backoffice tools that serves the main product, internal datasources or insights - those products can't just make more money, and therefor, being more cost effective is a good way for them to contribute to the overall bottom line!
